VANDERHOOF, British Columbia — A shelter-in-place order issued for parts of Vanderhoof and Electoral Area F has been lifted after RCMP arrested a suspect following a fatal incident on Ring Road on Thursday afternoon. Investigators have confirmed there is no ongoing threat to the public as the North District Major Crimes Unit assumes responsibility for the case.
Fatal Incident Triggers Major Police Response
According to the RCMP, officers responded shortly after 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 9, to the 1500 block of Ring Road following reports of a serious incident involving a collision.
When officers arrived, they discovered that at least one person had died. A suspect was located and taken into custody at the scene without further danger to the public.
