Authorities are conducting an active search and recovery operation following a tragic incident at the Mackinac Bridge during the early hours of Thursday after investigators determined that an individual reportedly entered the water from the bridge.
According to the Michigan State Police, troopers were dispatched at approximately 12:35 a.m. after receiving a report of an abandoned vehicle on the Mackinac Bridge.
