Head-On Collision on Bremen Road
According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, troopers responded at approximately 7:33 p.m. to reports of a serious crash on Bremen Road SE near Lake Road SE in Berne Township.
Investigators said Miranda was driving a 2023 Kia Forte eastbound when, for reasons that remain under investigation, the vehicle crossed the center line and collided head-on with a 2015 GMC Acadia traveling westbound.
The SUV was driven by Faith E. Irwin, 33, of Bremen.
Mother and Child Succumb to Injuries
Emergency medical personnel transported Miranda Maughmer to Fairfield Medical Center, where doctors attempted life-saving treatment. Sadly, she later died from her injuries.
